Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Oxford, CT
We love serving Oxford pet parents!
About the Town
Oxford, Connecticut was originally a part of Derby but become a separate “parish” in 1741. Oxford is now one of the fastest growing towns in CT with over 13,000 residents. The family-friendly area has a quiet, rural feel with cows, horses and other livestock aplenty. Some popular spots in Oxford include Rich Farm, Kettletown State Park and the brand new Quarry Walk.
Oxford is chock full of activities and great places to visit with your dog as well as professional services that will treat your pets like royalty.
The Better Beagle Co is an excellent, locally owned pet store you can bring your pup to. The store specializes in all natural pet food and carries foods specially formulated for puppies, small & large breeds, senior, weight management and limited ingredient diets for pets with allergies. (Plus, they are just a couple doors down from the lovely Country Creamery and they sell ice cream for the pups!)
Many different trails and parks in Oxford are great places to take your dog for some on-leash exploring. The 10 mile long Larkin Bridle Trail is a great option for walking or running alongside your best friend. If you’re looking for something shorter, the walkway around the Quarry Walk provides a more centrally located route around the plaza.
Oxford Veterinary Hospital is well loved by the pet parents of Oxford. Located right on 188, the staff is professional, courteous and strive to provide the best medical care possible.
