About Us

Our vision is to allow pet parents to work and travel guilt and worry-free knowing their pets are in the best care possible.

Our mission is to provide an unparalleled pet care experience through our focus on customer peace of mind, safety and convenience.

RCO Pet Care’s core values are safety, integrity, and excellence. These values are the core of our careful treatment of your home and pets, the heart of our customer experience philosophy and the standards we hold ourselves to each day.

Our Story

I knew I had to reassess my dreams of attending veterinary school upon the passing of my mother when I was in college. Moving out of state for 4 years was no longer an option as I knew my home was here in CT with my younger siblings. I took a job that appealed to my education but I lacked passion in the office setting and was bored and anxious for a position with more purpose.

As an Animal Science graduate, a shelter volunteer, an equestrian, a former zoo employee and the family’s resident “Dog Mom,” family and friends would constantly come to me with nails that needed to be trimmed, harness and training recommendations and requests for pet sitting. Working with animals and helping their owners keep them safe, happy and healthy via education and experience was my calling.

I oficially opened RCO Pet Care (Rocco and Company Pet Care… named after own beloved pack) in December of 2018. In April of 2019, I acquired Country Pup Pet Sitting upon my beloved mentor and former employer, Tammy Torres Hennesey, moving out of state and have since merged that business and its service area into RCO.

It is the mission of RCO Pet Care to provide an unparalleled pet care experience through our focus on customer peace of mind, safety and convenience. We are so grateful for our community’s support and that so many wonderful people trust us to care for their most precious companions. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us and plan on only expanding on the gold standard of care we have set for pet care in our community. Thanks for choosing RCO!
