Animals for Life is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization serving communities in Connecticut since 1996. The organization is dedicated to the rescue, placement, and care of animals in need via adoptive placements, advocacy, and providing educational resources. Their passion is to improve the quality of life for all homeless, abused, or neglected animals in our communities.
Brass City Rescue Alliance
BCRA is a 501(c)3 approved, CT registered dog advocacy rescue group in Middlebury. They are a registered Public Charity with the State of Connecticut.
Companion Pet Rescue
Companion Pet Rescue & Transport (CPR) was founded in 2004 and rescues over 2,500 dogs per year thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers! CPR is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. CPR has an adoption center in Southbury CT, as well as weekly events, and if your heart is set on a specific pup that has not yet arrived at the adoption center, you can pick up directly from their amazing transport!
Danbury Animal Wefare Society
Danbury Animal Welfare Society, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our community and beyond. They promote responsible pet guardianship and the humane treatment of animals, and work toward ending animal overpopulation through education and a variety of programs.
Dog Star Rescue
Dog Star Rescue, a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, is a dog rescue organization based out of the Hartford, CT area. They work closely with shelters in the South as well as New England states to save the lives of loving and loyal dogs who have lost their way and find themselves on death row.
New England Area
Labs4rescue is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing a new life for rescued or displaced Labrador Retrievers and Labrador Mixes. All Labs4rescue dogs undergo an initial veterinary screening, treatment as required and then they are placed in loving foster homes (when available) for nurturing and further evaluation.
Northwest Hills K-9 Rescue
Northwest Hills K-9 Rescue is a private, all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization devoted to saving animals and provide education, and advocacy. The rescue relies solely on contributions from individuals who care about animals to bring our services to the community.
PAWS New England
New England Area
PAWS rescues abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters and desperate situations, provide them with veterinary care and much needed TLC, and bring them to New England where they place them in safe, loving homes.
Perfect Imperfections is a a non-profit 501c dedicated to the education, rescuing, rehabilitation and adoption of special needs dogs.
Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue
ROAR was founded on the simple principle that they would provide animals in need with the same love, care and compassion we show their own family pets. Since they opened our doors in 2005, the ROAR team has placed more than 5,000 neglected and unwanted cats and dogs in caring homes throughout Ridgefield and surrounding towns.
Coco’s Animal Rescue Efforts of Seymour (CARES) is a non-profit 501c3 organization run entirely by dedicated volunteers. Their mission is to provide temporary shelter to abandoned and surrendered cats and dogs until they can find them loving new homes.
Spotty Dog Rescue
Spotty Dog is “A Rescue Without Borders.” The team is passionate about making lifelong matches between dogs and their humans with rescue partners in the US Virgin Islands, the southern states, and CT Animal Control Facilities.

Whiskers Pet Rescue
Whiskers Pet Rescue is a no-kill animal rescue organization in Southbury, Connecticut. They are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity made up entirely of volunteers committed to helping and caring for animals who have been abandoned, injured, abused, or neglected. Whiskers rescues and adopts out hundreds of pets each year, placing them in loving forever homes.
