Training Walks

Positive Reinforcement Dog Training in Greater New Haven, CT

Training Walks

Starting at $45/walk

Dog pulling you around on walks? You’re not alone! Our training walks will help improve your dog’s leash manners so you can adventure together more comfortably!

How It Works

Our trainer will come to your dog two to five times a week to work specifically on leash manners. Our force free methods will teach your dog where he should be while walking with you instead of punishing him via traditional methods when he does pull.

Coaching sessions are available to teach you how you can replicate this when we’re not there to help.

Day training takes off some of the stress of “homework” that coaching sessions require. More time with our trainer means more reinforcement with a professional, producing faster results.

While we still recommend working with your dog as regularly as possible to keep up his momentum, less of that responsibility will fall on your shoulders!

What Your Dog Will Learn

Our Training Walks will help your dog learn leash manners when he’s out and about. This makes walks safer and more enjoyable for everyone.

All learning in all of our training programs is done via positive reinforcement. This means your dog will be rewarded for the correct and response and mistakes will simply be ignored. We will not use force, prong collars, choke collars or e-collars on your dog – guaranteed.

What's Included

Training Walk Programs include the agreed upon number of sessions per week. The exact number will depend on your dog, your training goals and your budget.

All Training Walk Programs include a clicker, journals for each session and a weekly writeup of your dog’s progress.

Other Training Options

We understand that every dog and family is different and training programs are not “one-size-fits-all!” A consultation will allow your trainer to meet you, your family and your pup. We will discuss your goals for your dog and introduce you to the mechanics of positive reinforcement training!

Coaching Sessions

Coaching sessions require more “homework” than day training and are a great option for pet parents who want to be involved in their dog’s training process. Our trainer will come to you one to two times a week to work with you and your dog to achieve your goals!

Day Training

Day Training Programs allow you to leave most of the work to us! We will come to your dog multiple times a week to work on the behaviors discussed at your consultation. Included weekly Pet Parent Sessions will provide you with the knowledge and skills to tap into your dogs’ newly learned behaviors.
