Training ConsultationsPositive Reinforcement Dog Training in Greater New Haven, CT
A Training Consultation is the first step to a successful training program. This initial meeting will help us get to know you, your dog and your training goals.
How It Works
Our trainer will meet with you to discuss what behaviors you’d like to see change in your dog, any prior training he has received and other relevant history. Don’t worry about a thing – we will come prepared with the questions we need!
Using this information, your trainer will work with you to any questions and concerns you have as well as what realistic goals will look like. If neccessary, our trainer will also observe your dog, his current routine and the areas they have access to that are related to the undesired behavior.
Dog training programs are not one-size-fits-all. Your family, your dog and your goals will all be very different from any other client that we see. A consultation allows us to dive into your specific needs so we can suggest a program that will set you up for success.
How You and Your Dog Will Learn
All learning in all of our training programs is done via positive reinforcement. This means your dog will be rewarded for the correct and response and mistakes will simply be ignored. We will not use force, prong collars, choke collars or e-collars on your dog – guaranteed.
While we highly recommend a full, in-person consultation and require these prior to most training programs we can, also offer “quick fire” consultations. For more information on what each includes, see our full offerings below.
A consultation is required prior to all training services.
